From November 14th to 17th, 2023, Semicon Europa took place in the Munich exhibition halls at the same time as productronica. Trade visitors from all over the world came together at the largest semiconductor trade fair, where almost 450 exhibitors presented their products and services.
As was the case two years ago, ZS-Handling Technologies was once again represented with its own stand, following our participation in the Suragus stand last year with our non-contact wafer handler.
The interest in non-contact handling is growing and the issue of particles in particular is playing an increasingly important role in semiconductor production, as this leads to a loss of quality and more rejects. Unlike Bernoulli grippers, for example, our completely contact-free systems allow us to work entirely without compressed air and avoid air turbulence.
During the four days of the trade fair, we were able to make many new contacts and refresh old ones. Our sales team and our technical expert were able to answer many questions about this still relatively unknown technology and demonstrate its benefits. Our two exhibits were also very helpful, as they attracted a lot of attention due to their movement: Our non-contact LeviWafer-Gripper with double paddle made of glass and our non-contact MicroLevi-Gripper, which impressively demonstrated the pick-up, movement and placement of dies with the special self-centering effect. Last year, we were able to successfully reduce the dimensions and weight of the MicroLevi-Gripper so that it can now be used in even more pick & place applications (such as die bonding, flip chip, 3D packaging, etc.).
Our sales partner K.Brasch from Japan also visited our stand. The Semicon Japan will take place from December 13-15 in Tokyo and K.Brasch will also present the technology of ZS-Handling Technologies there (booth 6928).
The trade fair was once again very successful for us and we are looking forward to inspiring and convincing new customers and partners of our technology both in Japan and next year at Semicon Europa.
